OMG!!!! I was so Happy for him...I KNEW it would happen! I was brought to tears over the sincere emotions he showed. Hey Jr.... I'd like to share a quote by Bill Cosby: " I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everybody."

I think it is great that Junior won the race on Sunday. Everyone seems to have the same theory. Once he won one race, more wins would come after that. I surely hope so.

AnnaMarie from Stroudsburg, PA

I was jumping up and down on my livingroom floor. when jr. said Happy Fathers day to everyone, I knew it was an emotional win for dad......... I was so happy for him I knew it was comming real soon. Way to go Dale

Taylor from Raleigh, NC

My husband & I have been hugh Dale, Jr. fans. We both thought it was a good move when Dale, Jr. went to Hendricks. My husband died a month ago, I am sure the win for Dale, Jr. made his and Dale, Sr. Fathers Day great.

john from Lasvegas, NV

it about time he wins one and stay on top of it too

Kathy from Marion, IA

This first win really showcased his incredible driving abilites. The end was extremely entertaining to watch him scuff the tires in between shutting down the engine. Congratulations to his whole team.

DIANE from PORTERVILLE, CA

I KNEW HE COULD GET THAT FIRST WIN PRETTY FAST THIS YEAR. HE WILL GET MANY MORE NOW.

Jane from Augusta, GA

dolly from Satsuma, FL

I think he will be the head of the class. please show us a girl with him or does he not want to share his personal life. thank yu

Bill from Uniontown, PA

What a Father's Day gift Jr.'s first Hendrick Cup win was! As far Jr. winning at Infineon, Jr. has become a better road racer as the years have passed. Personally, I've never felt that a raod course is a place for Stock Cars to be racing at, and that opinion goes back to the Ironhead days. And, the COT car certainly isn't made to be raced on road courses. Look what happened to Ryan Newman when he left the track last year. The front spoiler lookeed like a scoop digging into the soft junk and throwing it up into the radiator. In a round about way I definately am hoping for the best for Jr., but it's going to take alot of skill and mostly luck. A great starting position is crucial. Go get 'em Jr.!

Carol from Robinson, IL

I was on the edge of my seat saying please let him win and when he did. I think my husband though I lost it, when I was saying, (yes it's about time), with tears rolling down my face. Go get them Junior!!!!

GARY from Smithfield, OH

Considering everthing that has happened in Jrs life the timing was right. His best days are ahead.

Ed from Spanaway, WA

Jr. only needed a little luck which a lot of other drivers have already had a few times this year. He ahs his go fast face on and now some luck. So bets are on JR go man go. He can win it all this year.,Best of luck JR 08, Ed

Ronald Landis from Bethlehem, PA

It was great that jr. won it's been awile and he needed to do it this time and many more times after this.

Sue from Frankfort, NY

Congrats Junior. It was a great Father's day gift for all your fans. Time to relax and enjoy the rest of the year!!!!!!!!!!! We all know you will be there at the end.....

Tammie from Union, SC

Dawn from Rochester, NY

Way to go Jr. We had no problem with your ability.Your Dad would be so proud of you and the decision you made.

Maria from Hollister, MO

Dale Sr and all the angels are having one huge party up there! What a better day to win than on Fathers Day... I got the feeling in the interviews after the race when Jr. said happy fathers day he was talking to more than just NASCAR fans... He knows his daddy was with him!!!

Cheryl from Gray Court, SC

Congratulations Dale!!! So happy to see you in Victory Lane Sunday, that was the best Father's Day gift John (husband) got. We knew it was only a matter of time. Now that the monkey is finally off your back we expect to see you there a lot more this year!! Go git 'em!!

Belinda from Lake Placid, FL

It was a great strategy play-out. So glad he got this win out of the way. Rick Hendrick being there was great to see. Junior has not had that in a long time. Because Theresa never came to the track. It's nice for him to get that pat on the back by his car owner. GO JUNIOR!

Andrew from Tallahassee, FL

Good to see Junior finish on top after so many near wins this year. And to do it with smart team strategy on careful use of fuel is neat. Junior should finish in the top ten at Infineon, but sorry he won't win. One of the road race experts should pull out the victory.

t.tommy from SilverDALE, PA

I thought it was good for DALE JR. to win, he went winless for 76 races that's how many his father has won so it was also pretty cool it was on fathers day!

Roberta from East Springfield, PA

I knew Jr would get there! There is no stopping him now! A dedicated Jr Fan all the way!

Lisa from Tallahassee, FL

I did not sleep one wink Sunday night. I was so nervous by the time the race ended, I was nearly sick. Of course, I can't wait for Sunday, a win on a road course would probably mean another sleepless night. Keep on winning, I'll catch up on sleep after Homestead/Miami, Ha! Ha!

Emily from Roswell, GA

Totally Awesome!!! Great job by Tony Jr. too. And I loved that he wished all the Dads a Happy Father's Day. But I almost needed a "valium" for those last few laps!! :-)

Claudia from South Fayette , PA

Dale Jr is always a winner. Its great that this is the third race he won this year. Too bad his other win's aren't counted towards the chase. Love you Dale Jr

Sherri from Madison, AL

Was I ever holding my breath,Every time it look's like Jr's gona win ,a caution comes out.Thank God the second caution saved him..Way to Go Jr. and on Fathr's Day.Now let's get down to business and win some more.

Jo Ann from Milford, CT

First I have to say this "CONGRATS" TO Dale Jr. for winning, yay!!!! A nice win (finally) from a great raceer and a nice tribute to your Dad on Father's Day! I love you Jr. for all that you do for NASCAR and how you've handled yourself through the good and bad times. You should have been able to run the D.E.I., you are the son. Hope it comes back to you somewhere down the road!

Lois from San Angelo, TX

I am a 71 year old grandmother and have watched Dale race since the beginning. This was the most exciting race I have seen in a long time. Go Dale, Go.

Penny from Omaha, AR

Jr. wining on Father's day was very appropriate. I am sure Big E was watching over his son. Jr. is an awsome driver and his wins will come. His fans are loyal with or without wins. Go Jr. Love ya, Penny

Bobbi from Kill Devil Hills, NC

Vicki from Chesterfield, MO

Way to go Junior! We are SO happy about your win!! I love to see you smile!!

Linda from Newbury , VT

We were in Daytona when he won both the races and no one wanted to count them because they were'nt point races...Well this should shut them up! Couldn't be any happier for him to win on Father's Day! I think that just sums it all up.. Go Junebug!

Tish from Danville, AL

My husband and I want to Congratulate Junior on his win. I was afraid that he was going to pass out during his interviews on TV, he was overwhelmed with the win. We appreciate your wanting to win a race so bad for the fans as much as for the team. Keep on doing what you are doing!!! Tish and Gene

Annette from Muskegon, MI

AWESOME race dale jr keep up the good job your doing you have made us proud here in MI JR ROCK"S

Mike Campo from Coos Bay, OR

Way to go JuneBug!! Couldn't he have won without making it so dramatic. If i was in that car running around under caution and hoping that it didn't run out of fuel, i would have been pitchin' a fit. Probably even crying! I'm glad it all worked out in the end. Whooohoooo!! go Dale Jr!!!

Katherine from Ferderic, WI

I'm so proud of Junior. It was awesome to see him with such a grin on his face. He deserved this win. My question to anyone out there -What in the world was Vickers smoking??? I watched every angle of the last two cautions and never once saw the 83 in front of the 88. I swear he is getting up on the list right along with the 18. Some people should just leave racing to the professionals and put the babies back in the playpen. Peace...

Iretta from Decatur, AL

I had the pleasure through the Speedway Childrens Charity at the Spring Race in Texas 2007 to ride in the back of the truck with Dale Jr on the introductory lap. He is down to earth and such an example of a professional young business man - wonder where he got that. Yes, it was wonderful that he won his first race in the points on Fathers Day for Rick Hendrick. They have brought so much to each other. I was in Daytona for his first win with Rick and that sure was a blast. Junior, good luck in the championship race because you are a true champion!!!!

Teri from Lower Burrell, PA

I was having a heart attack Sunday! Jr is a good road course racer and can get his 2nd win this weekend! You're awesome, Junior!! Congrats.

Denise from Fultondale, AL

Great win for 88 team!!! Looking forward to many more great finishes. Also great that the 88 team in the Nationwide series is doing so well. This just may be Dale's big year!!

Larry from Decatur, IL

I think it was great and hope he wins a lot more this year. Go Jr.!!!

#1 Tampa Fan from Tampa, FL

Job well done! It couldn't have come on a better day of the year! His father would be truly proud of his son! It was a victorious day in Michigan! Keep it up JR! We Love U!

Trish from Charlotte, NC

I am not a road course enthusiast!! I was so happy for Junbugs win and know there are more to come. He will be a champion!!!
